The lyrics in her songs are basically telling young women that it's okay to do things that would get you hurt or that are demeaning and disrespectful as long as you get yours. Come on, this song is proving to some dude that she is going to choose him over her mama when everyone knows that mamas are always right and even if they aren't, nine times out of ten that negro ain't gon stick with you in the end. Especially since it's 2006! All these negros do is run game and then laugh in your face. The other one about not having a daddy growing up is saying how it is okay to trick and bop and do degrading things as long as you get yours. True enough times are hard and sometimes you get desperate and don't know what to do but why get yourself into dead end stuff that's going to turn into heartbreak and humiliation and shame in the end. How about bettering yourself the right way and showing that just because you don't have a daddy you can make it without him and be successful and not some bop or whatever. She also mentioned that she ain't the one doing it. Dang right, she got hers (the right way) now get yours! |
